Plumber

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. 40 hours per week

Wage: $25.00-$39.00 per hour – starting rate commensurate with experience, with full benefits (including life, health, dental, and RRSP) after probation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components.
  • Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing and materials.

  • Identify required tools and special equipment.
  • Select the required pipe size.

  • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.

  • Install supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings.
  • Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls.
  • Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and conditioners.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim.
  • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet code requirements.
  • May be called outside regular business hours or work extended hours in case of emergency.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving abstract, and be insurable to drive and pass a criminal record check.
  • Mentors fellow employees to enhance their skill sets.

Qualification/Skills:

  • Water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as building codes.

Crane Technician

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. 40 hours per week

The starting rate is commensurate with experience and includes full benefits (life, health, dental, RRSP) after probation. 

Wage: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspections on various hoists and cranes

  • Diagnose equipment problems and estimate the cost of repairs, replacements and maintenance.

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of overhead electric cranes and their components and complete the required repairs.

  • Completes reports on inspected items neatly and accurately, either by the Cert Tracker or the inspection sheets and submits to administration for processing

  • Maintained paperwork and records of the used inventory for billing and certification purposes

  • Assist in developing efficient and effective work methods consistent with the company’s policies and procedures.

  • Provides input to customer quotes

  • Competes cycle counts of inventory periodically as required

  • Performing general labour and maintenance work

  • Complies with company quality and safety procedures for completing work

  • Follow customer safety and quality rules when working at a customer site

  • Maintains company equipment used on a daily/weekly/monthly basis

  • Some travel, possible work evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Recognized trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician

  • Experience working with heights, lifting gear inspection, Wire rope examiner, and ASME/OSHA considered an asset

  • Knowledge of electricity and hydraulics, with the ability to troubleshoot for general maintenance.

  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable

  • Must safely lift 50 lbs from the floor to waist level

  • Establish work priorities and ensure deadlines are met while adhering to established procedures.

  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner

  • Communicates professionally.
